Couple's Disagreement over Disney Movie Leads to Divorce

Couple's Disagreement over Disney Movie Leads to Divorce

From Jupiter to Boca Raton, all parents take their children to Disney movies. Disney movies are appreciated for their positive themes. However, according to the International Business Times, Disney’s newest blockbuster is back in the news but not for its blow out box office sales. The fantasy movie created such a rift between a couple in Japan that the wife decided she wanted a divorce.

The news came to light through a Japanese marriage counseling website where the 31-year-old husband shared his story and his wife’s mad love for the Disney movie Frozen. The 29-year-old wife became so obsessed with the movie that she made several trips to the theater without her husband and eventually forced him to watch the movie. After the man told his wife that it was an “okay movie, but that he didn’t really care for it personally” she became irritated and exclaimed “if you can’t understand what makes this movie great, there’s something wrong with you as a human being!” Much to this man’s surprise, his wife then thundered that she wanted a divorce. In the husband’s portrayal of their marriage, he later explained that during their six-year marriage he couldn’t remember a single fight prior to the “Frozen” fiasco.
